Once students graduate, they’ll need to prepare several documents for cruise line employment. Graduates must fill out a prescreen form and cruise line application. Your local recruitment agency can provide more information on cruise line employment.
Interview with cruise line representative:
The interview is the most important step in the process. When meeting with a cruise line representative, the candidate is asked a series of questions. The candidate must detail work experience and show knowledge of the job applied for. Also, this step ensures that the candidate speaks and understands English.
Official job offer:
Following final interviews, the cruise line extends official job offers to qualified candidates. This offer is presented to the candidate through the employment and/or recruitment agency.
Agency optional services:
Because candidates need documents for employment, agencies offer help. Once selected for a job, candidates may elect to use optional services. Optional services refer to paid-for services provided by your assigned recruitment agency. Candidates may choose not to use optional services. In this case, they must begin to collect documents on their own. Keep in mind, agency help results in faster document processing. Even if service is declined, this form must be signed and kept in the agency’s office for crew records.
